Viet Duc Electric Welding Rod Joint Stock Company, formerly known as the Electric Welding Rod Factory, was established on March 28th, 1967 in Giap Bat, Hanoi with two production lines and all equipment supplied by the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Electric Welding Rod Factory was renamed to Vietnam-Germany Electric Welding Rod Factory with 6 synchronized production lines supplied by the Federal Republic of Germany, with a designed capacity of 7,500 tons per year.
The Ministry of Industry has decided to rename the Factory to Viet Duc Electric Welding Company to better reflect the new business and production situation.
